About Race Across

One half marathon in every state – a useful guide after each one.

I’m Ritvik Nag, and I’m working toward running a half marathon in all 50 U.S. states plus Washington, DC.

Race Across is where I publish practical, firsthand guides to those race weekends. They cover the decisions that matter when you travel to run: lodging, food, airports, race logistics, shakeout runs, weather, elevation, nearby attractions, surprises, and lessons learned.

The point is firsthand experience — not another directory of races or a collection of aggregated reviews. I write each guide from the weekend I actually had, including what worked and what I would change.

My public race map tracks the larger goal and supports the guides. Race Across is not intended to become a social network; the map and race tracking are here to make the practical guidance more useful.

The guides will keep improving as I complete more races and information changes. If you spot something missing, outdated, or inaccurate, let me know.
